The world is full of many different types of people. People have different nationalities and religions and sexual orientations and languages and political opinions and social roles, etc. If we do not respect each others difference, then we will be in constant conflict with people who are different than us. If, however, we do respect each others differences, we can cooperate with people who are different than us, to work together for a better world for all of us. This latter choice seems obviously preferable.
