It was self-defence
It was wrong of the socs to jump him and Ponyboy
It was a natural reaction
This really is a matter of opinion seeing as Johnny dies in the end. But in our modern law, johnny would most likely have been convicted of 2nd degree murder as he was defending his friend
Booked it (ran away quickly) to Johnny, who had been laying in the lot. He then tells him that they should run away, and Johnny without questioning agrees.
johnny cade was 16 in the book the yougest next to ponyboy andeverybode's kid brother and the gang's pet he was high strung and loyaly and abrave little geraser and he had been jumped by scoces in the past so johnny is scaterr brianed and jumpey he now carre's with him a six, inch, switchblade with him and he now carre's with him a scrar om his let cheek
If you mean The Outsiders as in the book, that would be Ponyboy, who directly before the greasers vs. Socs fight thinks "I shouldn't be here. None of us should". However, it may also be Johnny, who when receiving the news of the Socs defeat, remarks "pointless... Nothing good... comes from fighting...."
you should ask him that...
Johnny and pony run away, and they save some kids in a fire they started when they were smoking, to make up for the fact that johnny killed a soc, and johnny gets paralyzed by a burning slab of wood, and eventually dies.

The "stay gold" speech in "The Outsiders" is given by Johnny to Ponyboy before he dies. Johnny tells Ponyboy to "stay gold" as a way to encourage him to hold onto his innocence and optimism despite the harsh realities of their lives. It serves as a reminder to Ponyboy to stay true to himself and to not let the troubles of the world harden his heart.
Because I am innocent!
Who the hell is Johnny?

If they kept running away they would just get in more trouble than if they just turned them selves in. More specifically they did so in order to claim self-defense in Johnny's killing of a Socials gang member named Bob Sheldon. Johnny knew that if he stayed on the run, the other Greasers would still be scrutinized by the police, and Ponyboy wouldn't have a chance to succeed in life. Johnny was willing to face the consequences in order to continue protecting his friends.
you should watch the movie!
