History coursebooks in high school usually have chapters about French and Russian Revolutions. Some chapters regarding Nazism and World War II are also there. But what is it in these topics that make them essential for the study of European (or say world) history? I think that is related to the influence, these incidents had on the entire world.

French Revolution: It not only had a long-term impact on French perception of politics, society, religion and ideas, but also introduced the idea of liberalism to the world. Many countries were affected by the ideas coming from the revolution. Neighboring European countries were directly affected due to revolutionary wars that followed. Many colonies around the globe were also influenced by the idea of liberalism and nationalism and gained independence in coming centuries.

Russian Revolution: It introduced the idea of socialism. This was the start of the making of USSR influenced by the ideas of socialism.

Why should we study the French and Russian revolutions rather than other revolutions such as the American and Chinese?

French and Russian revolutions affected the world more intensely. It is not that other revolutions were not important but these two revolutions introduced more new and radical ideas to the world than other revolutions. They brought the ideas of liberalism and socialism respectively, and also contributed in arousing nationalism in some way or other.Meaning of keywords used:Liberalism is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality.Socialism is a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.Nationalism is a belief or political ideology in which one identify with his/her nation and becomes attached to it. Differences in Russian and french revolution?

Both the French and Russian revolutions occurred because of two main reasons. Both of these revolutions were the direct results of bad leadership and a bad economy. These two reasons along with other factors caused both of these revolutions. Although they were both similar, they also had differences. A difference between the two is that the Russians had an unsuccessful "pre-revolution" in 1905. Another difference between these two revolutions is the fact that the French turned towards a democracy while the Russian government became communist. Both the French and Russian revolutions had similar causes but ended up with different results. Both of these countries had different internal factors which cause the results. The Russians had Lenin and the French had the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen. I would also like to point out 1 more similarity between these two revolutions and that is the fact that both Czar Nicholas II and King Louis XVI were executed soon after the revolutionaries took power. It's just strange to see how two similar countries with so many similar reasons for revolting would end up with so very different governments. this is one of the differences.there were many more.

How many revolutions should a roulette wheel turn?

The number of revolutions a roulette wheel should turn isn't fixed and can vary based on the rules of the game or the casino's practices. Typically, a single revolution is sufficient for the ball to settle in a pocket, but players and casinos may allow for multiple spins for entertainment or betting purposes. Ultimately, the focus is more on the randomness of the outcome rather than a specific number of revolutions.

The American and French Revolutions fostered the idea that governments should be based on the principles of democracy and popular sovereignty, emphasizing that authority derives from the consent of the governed. What happened in French after the French Revolution - homeworkschool Please D?

i copy-paste this from another question, i think this is the answer: France no longer being a monarchy was probably the biggest change to France. But it also worried the rest of Europe because that ment there were two successful revolutions (the American), so they were woried about even more revolutions sparking up in their own countries. And scince France and England were the superpowers at the time, it should be even easier to over-throw their own countries. It also gave way to new government systems, such as democracy and socailism.
