Well after things like: Its the law, people get serious fines and even put in jail for failing to, you get the benefits on many of them (and when you wanrt to get unemployment, social security, disability, medical, all types of other things - if you didn't participate you ain't going to get it when you need it), the list of why goes on and on. But, if your looking to escape paying for things, why not just shoplift or steal toher things instead? That is how being a tax cheat is looked at legally, except perhaps even more severly....and it's probably better to have offended and have the local merchant as your adversary than the US and other Governments...common sense should tell you these last 2 have much, much more power to do with you as they like than any others.
