Dropping out at 16 will guarantee that the former student will be relegated to the lowest level of society and economy. They will rank below drug addicts, winos, and crack whores who managed to finish high school. With no primary diploma they will be rejected from all but the most menial labor - labor that is often done by mentally disabled persons. Even the worst student of normal or close to normal intelligence can gain enough additional knowledge with a couple more years of school to make themselves useful to an employer or prepared to start their own business if they are motivated enough. Dropping out at 16 will assure the former student of a life of poverty and failure.
