I'm not even sure they should. I guess that depends on the teacher. In my opinion they should have, but only minor tasks that could be done applying the already known (for example read and write an essay about a book). After all they are on holidays, they deserve the break, but they shouldn't entirely forget all about school since it only makes it harder to come back and get to the same pace.
no it is a legal only in some cities but, like San Gabriel school district is not aloud to have homework during the winter break
Yes.
Yes! Why not? I got homework on summer, spring, and winter break! (ID whatever number was me, but I wasn't logged in.) XD
You get lots of homework because teachers don't want their students to forget anything over break.
Not having any homework on the weekends means that students get a break from homework, and can do things they like to do without having to think about getting homework done.
Where does the comma go? "Many students anticipate spring break, but Luis looks forward to winter vacation more?"
Not really. Matters if they like the cold or not?
Winter break can be capitalized, or lower case. If, on a calendar, you are writing winter break, then you would put "Winter Break". On anything else, it could be "winter break", "Winter break", or "Winter Break".
It makes everyone bored because they have had a while relaxing but will be refreshed. If you have tonnes of homework though you wil be bored and tired and annoyed
There is no winter break in football.
You shouldnt. Simply because you would feel hurt and abused if he did it to you.
The sentence does not demonstrate proper comma usage. A comma should be placed after "break" and "vacation" to separate the independent clauses. The revised sentence would be: Many students anticipate spring break, but Luis looks forward to winter vacation more.
