We shouldn't be proud of low-class (namely un-educated/poorly educated, lazy, cheap clothed, disrespectful) people who give our country a bad name. It's quite simple. We shouldn't be percieved as a bogan and shouldn't be proud of it.
The bogan culture is a culture that makes Australia look bad to the whole world. Being proud of it? That's for you to decide. People around the world get confused between being an Aussie and being a Bogan. The world is getting the wrong picture about Australians. Some Australian phrases and sayings such as " Snag on the barbie, and She'll be right mate" are getting are getting mixed up with the Bogan culture. I'm not saying it's bad to say these Phrases, I'm saying the world is getting the wrong picture and thinks that the natural Australian culture is the Bogan culture. The Bogan culture is much different to being Aussie. The bogan culture is a rebellious culture that is laid back and full of people who commit stupid crimes, The bogan culture embarrasses Australia to the rest of the world. to be or not to be proud of the Bogan culture is your choice. I hope this answered your question well.
yeah defianetly.Australia is cool and that's how we are.
What is important is that you are proud to be Jewish and proud of your culture
embrace your culture and be proud of your dialect
Most Australians have modest bogan tendencies and I don't think it hurts to embrace that. That being said, I'm strongly against being proud of the profoundly bogan and the culture that surrounds them. This is because they stereotypically follow a very selfish and unethical existence filled with environmentally unfriendly cars, wasteful consumerist lifestyles, moral, social, environmental and political ignorance, intellectual disability, trashy fashion sense and uncouth behavior.AnswerI'm not sure who wrote the above, but it wasn't me! Living as I do in the outback, I can say that the epitome of bogan culture is what I call the BS ute, a Holden (or sometimes Ford) utility, decked out with a dozen or more whip aerials (rarely connected to anything) and a bullbar fit for a Mack truck. They are often lowered (or perhaps the weight of the silly bullbar drags them down ) making them useless for the paddocks they're supposedly intended for, and fitted with "sports" exhaust systems. They are usually also fitted with aftermarket stereos, playing doof-doof hip hop music like their city ricer cousins, or loud country music, usually with the windows down so they can share their musical tastes with the whole street. These utes are not restricted to the male gender of the bogan species, women commonly own and drive them as well. This is in line with the origin of the BS ute, which is from the besotted bush dances known in the outback and bush as "Bachelors and Spinsters' Balls" where one of the more exciting activities is "throwing doughnuts" in adjacent paddocks in their BS utes and then retiring for sleep or other activities in their utes' trays.
