Some people choose not to celebrate Halloween due to religious differences (since Halloween has ties to paganism and the Underworld). Others choose not to celebrate it because it's frightening. I've even heard of people who won't celebrate it because they're afraid of tainted candy (paranoid schizophrenics, if you ask me).

∙ 11y agoPeople all over Chicago on October 31st get to dress up in whatever they want and be whoever they want to be. One of the reasons I think Halloween should still be allowed is because you can dress up in whatever you want and be whoever you want on the day of Halloween. For adults it's a fun day to see other children have fun and dress up in their scary or goofy costumes and for adults it's also fun to see them in interesting costume outfits. It is also fun for the kids to be with friends and family to go trick-or-treating.
