Sadly you can only tell if you are "some girls" and i know plenty of guys who don't give a $hit about a girls feelings after they break up.

Why do guys not care about girls feelings when they know you care about them?
They do, in fact, care. It's just that boys are very different than girls, and tend to hide their feelings, even resulting in being mean or along those lines. It's their way of saying that they care about you...or, if you're annoying they have a way to say that you are being so, which is being mean about it most of the time. It's just in their nature, and girls have our own way of saying we care about them.
