There were three main tribe I Cuba before the Europeans. They were the Siboeyes, Tainos, and Guatahanabeyes. Caribs and Arawaks also inhabited Cuba.
The Indians referring to the Tainos and Island Caribs resisted the Europeans because they forced them to work. Examples of how they resisted are:- * Committing suicide * Committing infanticide * Had raids against the Europeans Theses are some of the methods the Tainos used.
The Tainos are People who came from South America and settled at certain location as: Jamaica Trinidad and Tobago Hispaniola The Spanish Lead by Christopher Columbus soon lead a ship to the Caribbean. They thought the reached to India so they called the them Indians.
The Tainos were a more settled, agricultural society with hierarchical chiefdoms, while the Caribs were semi-nomadic and organized in smaller autonomous villages. Taino political structure was more centralized and led by a cacique (chief), whereas Carib societies were more egalitarian and decentralized. Taino society was more focused on trade and diplomacy, while Caribs were known for their warfare and resistance against colonization. Taino political organization centered around ceremonial ball courts and alliances through intermarriage, while Carib society was characterized by matrilineal descent and less emphasis on political centralization.
the caribs
The Tainos were a peaceful Arawak people who inhabited the Caribbean islands, focusing on agriculture and fishing. In contrast, the Kalinagos (also known as Caribs) were a more warlike indigenous group who dominated the Lesser Antilles and relied on hunting and gathering. The Kalinagos were known for their fierce resistance to European colonization, while the Tainos were more open to interaction.
what were the Caribs religion
1946, but due to the fact that they couldot afford separate ships for blacks and whites.
According to my knowledge, i believe that 'maize,' also known as corn , was the 'Tainos' main crop. They put the children to chase away birds, so that the 'maize' would be protected.
