How do you remove fiberglass off your body?
1---if you can before you use fiberglass cover your body with talcom/baby powder. Or if you happen to have cornstarch you can also use that. And finally if all else fails you can use flour. You want to cover your body so that it fills in your pores with a dry substance. 2---while using a fiberglass product cover your body completely with clothes. Most importantly use goggles and a mask to prevent you from inhaling into your lungs.VERY IMPORTANT. 3---- when done use something to blow it off of you. A fan or air compressor anything that will dry your skin. 4---when you get in the shower start out with cold water so you can rinse the fiberglass off your body as to prevent opening your pores where it can lodge in. Rinse off as long as you can with cold water. Use a liquid soap and your hands to get off as much as possible. 5--- after cold wash/rinse proceed with a hot shower. This is so you can now open your pores to release any fiberglass that may have already lodged in your pores. Just like in the cold water use a liquid soap or shampoo to wash your body off. Use your hands to prevent rubbing too hard causing abrasions which will burn more or lodging the fibreglass into the open pores. Then after washing with your hands and rinsing completely you may want to use a washcloth to wash for a third time. 6---when towel drying pat or squeeze the towel on your skin rather than rubbing. When your body is fairly dry you can use a second towel to gently go over your entire body starting from your head and working your way down. 7---if at this point you still feel itchy try standing in front of a fan naked. Allow the air to fully dry your skin. When you are fully dry and cooled off use powder or cornstarch on your entire body. This must only be done when you are fully dry. Coat your skin with a descent amount of powder. You might want to do this over your tub.(dry floor of tub with first towel) when coated liberally with powder you can either take a new dry towel or use pantyhose like a glove on your hand to gently go over your body to get powder off. ****or after shower you can try rubbing a thick coat of baby oil or even olive oil over your skin and gently go over skin with toilet paper to soak up oil.
