Many Thais, including me , love the King Bhumibol because he has done the best he can for Thailand. When he became king more than 65 years ago, he had no power. By working towards the better lives of Thai people, he has gained love and respects from Thai people. His work have been mostly related to helping poor farmers and promote education and environmental research. There have been more than 3000 projects throughout Thailand. You can travel around Thailand and find the royal projects such as artificial rain making, reducing opium and palm oil for replacing gas. In the time of crisis such as the communist insurgence in 1960-1980 and financial crisis in 1997 in Thailand, the King has stabilized Thailand and united people. I personally thank the king for his work that allows me to gain education. More importantly, the king has exemplified a very hard working person. Long live the king.
