Name the cells in which endoplasmic reticulum is absent?

Prokaryotic cells.

What would happen if the endoplasmic reticulum stopped working?

Lipid and steriod synthesis will not work properly, toxins will not be detoxified properly, and there may be problems with intracellular calcium signaling, which can be very disruptive to cellular process as calcium is a very import signaling molecule in cells.

Do plants have endoplasmic reticulum?

Yes they do, they can have a rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) that has ribosomes on it. Or a soft endoplasmic reticulum (SER) with no ribosomes on it. Hope this helps!

Cells delivery system?

Endoplasmic Reticulum.

WHICH OF THE FOLLOING IS FOUND IN PLANT CELLS BUT NOT ANIMAL CELLS CELL WALL VACUOLE MITOCHONDRIA OR ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM?

Cell wall is absent. It is inplants

Transport of molecules within animal cells occurs in the what?

the Endoplasmic reticulum

Is the endoplasmic reticulum in an animal cell?

the endoplasmic reticulum is in both plant and animal cells. there is the smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER) and then there is the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER)

What is the system of intricate passageways inside cells called?

Endoplasmic Reticulum.

Is endoplasmic reticulum found in animal cells?

Yes. Endoplasmic reticulum is found in all eukaryote cells.

Is the endoplasmic reticulum made up of cells?

No, the endoplasmic reticulum is a cell organelle.

What is a surface for chemical activity in a cell?

The surface for chemical activity in a cell is the endoplasmic reticulum. It is a membranous network found in the cytoplasm.

What Transports proteins in cell?

Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum for plant cells ONLY, or the golgi apperatus for animal cells scence animal cells do NOT have a Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum only a Endoplasmic Reticulum that makes the protiens.
