Yes. All kind of sunglasses absorb some light. Some light is reflected too. Dark sunglasses absorb more than not so dark sunglasses.
No
An ordinary light contains more than one colour. A laser is monochromatic.

As long as the sunglasses are polarized and have UV protection they are great.
Both brands of sunglasses have polarized and UV ray protection. They are different styles and one may fit your face better or give you a look that you like better. Right now, some consider Coach to have the fashion edge, but that is a personal preference.
polarizing sunglasses have a specific grating on them that is usually vertical llllllllllll lllllllllllllll light can have various polarizations ... (this is the direction that the E and M fields go up and down) .... when something get's reflected ... say off of water It only is polarized horizontally ------- (that way if you like) ... since this light is polarized in the opposite direction as to the grating it cannot transmit ..... hence the glare off of objects is eliminated when you use polarizing lenses the intensity transmitted is I = I0 * cos^2(\theta) ... where theta is the angle between the lense grating and the light .... in this case it is 90 degrees so cos(90) = 0 and no light is transmitted for ordinary sunglasses .... the transmitted reduction is just uniform and effects like glare are not reduced any more or less than the direct sunlight
Longevity of sunglasses depend solely on the brand and quality of the sunglass. A cheap $5 sunglass will last short than a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses.
unpolarized light = light waves vibrate in more than one plane Polarized light = vibrations of light waves occur in a single plane.
This is a very good question. I'm a rich person so I know what I'm talking about-- well the wayfarer sunglasses are way hotter and stylish than the aviators. The wayfarer series never goes out of style.. I have a 349 dollar pair and they're very " hot " in today's world of fashion. Also I would like to mention if you're going to buy some Ray-Bans, pay the money and get the polarized shades.... Most Ray-Ban polarized Wayfarer sunglasses range from $169- $ 194. Depending on what you want yo spend, you'll get some long lasting shades Ps. I have the whole collection so trust me & get the polarized. They look better
Polarized are best as they used by professionals to reduce glare effect from water surface or so...
Blue Blockers are still available for purchase, although whether they are better depends on what attributes a person is seeking.
According to Clarksvill Eye Clinic's article on prescription Sunglasses, sunglasses are more expensive than regular perscription eyeglasses. This same article, however, says that sunglasses are only slightly more expensive, and they protect better than transitional lense glasses.
Polarized lenses are used in sunglasses to reduce glare from reflective surfaces such as the surface of a lake or the hood of a car. They accomplish this feat through a process called polarization, much like a venetian blind controls sunlight through a window.
Extraordinary means "more than normal" or "better than usual". It's like "ordinary", except with an "extra" to show that it's not ordinary. It's "extra", or more than ordinary!
Wearing sunglasses that do not block UV light are tinted sunglasses. This tinted sunglasses cause more harm than wearing no sunglasses
