a pyramid is a 3-Dimensional triangular monument that is a tomb for Pharaoh's, the wife and the children. Every person had their own pyramid or tomb because the slaves, scribes and craftsmen would put all of the Pharaoh's or family members belongings in the tomb with them. The reason they put all of the belongings in the tomb is because everyone would think it would put the pharaoh in the afterlife.

When Egyptians Pharaohs died they were buried in a tomb in a pyramid with all of their prized things. The queen was buried in a smaller tomb and smaller pyramid and didn't have as much prized things as the Pharaoh. Her pyramid was located near her husband's pyramid.
The pyramids were built for the Pharaohs. When the pharaoh dies they (the people) put the pharaoh in the tomb (the pyramid) so that the spirit of the pharaoh can travel to the after life and live the life as a God/Goddess with Ra and all the other Gods/Goddesses. Hope this helps :)
A pyramid. Pyramids were built between the years c.2700 and 1550BC, a period known as the old and middle kingdoms. After 1550BC, the beggining of the "new kingdom", royal burial practices changed and the Pharaohs were buried in elaborate rock tombs in a desert valley located west of the royal capital Thebes. This is known as the valley of the kings.
A tomb; by all accounts pyramids were not necessarily designed or intended to house dead Pharaoh's. The majority of all excavated pharaohs were discovered in simple underground, stone tombs.

A Pharaoh's tomb would have all of his belongings in it, including clothing, jewelry, cosmetics, chairs, headrests, food, a bed, staues of himself and of the Egyptian gods, as well as shabti. These items were placed in the tomb so that the Pharaoh can live in the afterlife properly with all of his treasures.
The slope pyramid, also known as the Great Pyramid of Giza, was built as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu during the Fourth Dynasty of Egypt. It served as a monument to honor and perpetuate the rule of the pharaoh in the afterlife, and to showcase the power and wealth of ancient Egypt.
A pyramid was always built as a tomb for the king or Pharaoh. The time it took depended on its size and the number of people employed to built it. The Great pyramid of the 4th dynasty Pharaoh at Giza is said to have taken 14 to 20 years to build. Not that the Pharaoh did the work himself. That was left to his officials (the overseer of works, engineers and scribes), craftspeople (masons, carpenters, quarrymen and smiths) and thousands of slaves to do all the heavy labouring work.
