The System of liquid water and the moisture in the air (water vapor) tends to remain in an equilibrium. So if the air is less humid, the water evaporation process goes forward so as to attain equilibrium, and if the air has already water vapor, then the process becomes less favorable and hence slow.

Does wind or moving air decrease the rate of evaporation?

No, it increases the rate.

Why does coastal water in areas with hotter water have drier climates than having higher climates salinity than coastal water in cooler more humid areas?

This is because less fresh water runs into the ocean in drier areas and because heat increases the evaporation rate.

Does the rate of evaporation increase of water as temperature increases in a vacuum?

What determines the rate of evaporation?

One factor that affects the rate of evaporation is temperature. Warmer weather means a faster rate of evaporation. The density of the air or humidity in the surrounding air is also a factor. If the air is already humid, evaporation will take longer.

Why does cloth dry on hot days?

Heat increases the evaporation rate of water.

How does the warming of the oceans disrupt the worldwide water cycle?

Why rate of evaporation of liquid increases with increasing wind speed?

the rate of evaporation increases when a breeze or flow of air is present. If you refer to water transpiration, you can see that a breeze blowing over the surface of a plant's leaves increases the rate of evaporation of the water exiting the stoma.

Does adding sugar to water affect the rate of evaporation?

Yes, it decreases the evaporation rate. Sugar molecule contains a lot of -OH groups, which can make Hydrogen bonds with water. Since molecular attraction increases the rate of evaporation decreases.
