For any president, the public views have traditionally been; they either do to much getting into other people's business (Wars & Foreign Aid: nations/countries/US citizens/etc.), or they don't do enough for anybody (nations/countries/US citizens/etc.). In the US Federal government there are to parts to the legislative branch. One is the House of Representatives and the other part is the Senate. The people elected to these branches of government which is called the legislative branch are the people voted in by the people of their states to pass on bills to make into laws. Therefore, a legislator is so defined. Other parts of the US, the 50 states have a similar set up to handle matters that effect the states we are speaking of. In the 50 states there are political subdivisions that also have legislators.
