The signal from the microphone isn't modulated. The radio wave is modulated
with the microphone signal. 'Modulation' just means the process of adding
information to the bare radio wave.
A microphone is an analogue to electrical transducer.
When sound waves reach a microphone, they cause the microphone diaphragm to vibrate. These vibrations are then converted into electrical signals by the microphone's transducer, typically a coil or capacitor. The electrical signals are then transmitted through the microphone cable to a recording device or amplifier.
A microphone turns sound into electrical signals, which can be recorded, amplified and transmitted.
The conversion of sound waves in to radio is done by a device called transmitter. Many devices such as radio and mobile device are equipped with receiver antenna and speaker to convert back radio waves in to sound waves.

Sound waves enter the microphone and cause a diaphragm to vibrate. These vibrations are converted into electrical signals which are then amplified by the microphone. The electrical signals can then be transmitted to a recording device or sound system for playback.

Sound waves need to be converted into electrical signals before they can be transmitted by radio waves. This is typically done by using a microphone to capture the sound waves and convert them into electrical signals that can then be modulated onto a radio frequency carrier wave for transmission.
