it probably stopped working because its probably old. You probably have to buy a new one
It could very easily be the switch. Window motors work by reversing the polarity to go up and down. If the motor worked going down, it should work coming up. Motors tend to be all or nothing. With the door panel off, you can unplug the motor and power it with jumper wires to see if it works both ways. If it does, it is most likely the master switch not the one in that door.
You can but if the power window motor is bad it still won't roll up.
you can by pass the switch, get wiring diagram and figuare out wich wires are for window motor you need rolled up, then remove switch and put power to wire that will make motor roll window up
bad window motor if electric or a bad switch.

Window motor
Check out the end of this video for details on where the motor rest is and how to perform the reset. http://infinitihelp.com/diy/gcoupe/projects/infiniti_g35_window_motor_replacement_procedure.htm Original Answer: The window motors 'window travel distance' can be reset by : (do not use auto-up or auto-down function) • open door so window does not touch anything but door • press and ***hold*** window button to roll window down and hold for at least 5 seconds beyond window full roll down • press and ***hold*** window button to roll window up and hold for at least 5 seconds beydon window roll roll up This will train your door motor on the limits of the window travel ====== It is the black button/nipple thing on the actual motor. It can be accesses by removing the door panel and then lifting the black sticker in the center of the door. best of luck
remove door panel and roll up window at the center of the door are two screws that dold the window to the motor remove them and carefully lower the window motor put window on track roll up motor and replace screws also check surrounding track screws and adjusment then replace door panel
Depending what year your windstar is, it may have rivets holding the window to the motor. You have to drill them out to detach the window. I removed the motor and regulator and pulled the window up and propped it with wood until my motor came in. Now they have the motor/regulator combo aftermarket at Autozone for $69.
There could be a couple of reasons why a 2005 Ford Focus window will not roll up anymore. The window may be off track or if the windows are electric the motor could need to be replaced.
To fix a window that won't roll up on a Ford Probe, the door panel will have to be removed. The cable for the window will have to be restrung onto the pulley or a new one will have to be installed.
first take the door panel off then unbolt the window motor after you've done that Aline the two ends in the slots on the motor carefully put the motor back on and bolt it up tight the roll your window up then there ya go its fixed
Use a side cutters and cut the cables. Tape the window up until you can replace the regulator.
