Ozone layer thinning is most pronounced over the Antractica because of a no of factors some of which are:
1) The CFC's released by humans are carried towards the Antarctica by the westerlies or the westerly winds where they cause ozone depletion.
2) the poles are the regions having low temperature and the ozone depleting reactions are only carried in temperature below -2o temperature that is on the polar stratospheric clouds. This attainment of temperature as low as 2o is only possible on the poles.
Ozone is formed at the top because UV radaitions have converted oxygen into ozone over there. Ozone formation is a chemical process. When oxygen is treated with UV radiations oxygen gets converted into ozone.
No, the ozone is not situated on ionosphere. It is there is stratosphere.
It is on the bottom. It is pool of ozone molecules.
No. Ice sits on top of Antarctica -- 98% of the continent is covered with an ice sheet.
leave a gap
Many countries are destroying the ozone. The developed nations are on top.
There are no cities in Antarctica, no states, no countries.
Antarctica is located at the southern-most point of the earth.
The continent on the top of the Earth is Antarctica.
The continent at the top of the world map is Antarctica.
Antarctica is located at the bottom of the earth but the northpole is at the top of the earth
That would be the 2nd layer, the stratosphere layer with the ozone at top.
