Because the Mayans calender ended on December 22, 2012. People now living today think that the world will end. Think of it this way. When the calender ends on December 31, the world doesn't end the next day. It's just a new year. Hopefully the Mayans are wrong. Don't worry about this any way because they also said the world was going to end in 2000. And did it end? No. I was born in 2000 but im still here. So there's nothing to worry about! XD
