i thought it is not possible to use turbo charger in s.i engine......bcz,the main function of turbo charger is to provide hot compressed air to cylinder for proper combution... and in s.i engine there s no need of hot compressed air ...bcz the combution s done with t help of spark..
Turbochargers are used on some petrol or gasoline engines.
No, NASCAR engines are naturally aspirated and turbochargers are prohibited (not allowed).
Compression ignition (CI) engines use diesel is as the fuel, while spark ignition (SI) engines use petrol. SI engines are lightweight and achieve high speeds while diesel CI engines although heavier and slower engines, are more robust and have a higher thermal efficiency. Their robust build (and fewer parts) makes diesel CI engines ideal for heavy machinery.
The benefits of having a turbocharger pickup is that it overall increases the efficiency of your automobile. The reason for having turbochargers is because they are usually used on small engines to take the place a larger one.
Turbochargers turn too fast for ball bearings. Sleeve bearings are typically used in this application.
All engine are whether CI or SI are quantity governed. what is quality governed?? You have discovered it or wht??
Audi usually buy their turbochargers from Borg-Warner.
The Bugatti Veyron has 4 turbochargers
I'm not good with cars. I'm guessing yes...try it and if it explodes...heck not my fault.

Most common turbochargers (bearings) are lubricated and cooled with engine oil.
Rally cars are limited to only 2.0 litre engines, yet they are fitted with gigantic turbochargers that can give them up to 300 bhp
