Only one can be in the gun when shooting singles and two for doubles
If you have a Tippmann or another gun with iron sights, you close your non shooting eye and align the rear and front sights. If you have a centerfeed gun (hopper is in the middle) you open both eyes and put the gun out in front. You focus on your target, and the feedneck should make two images on the left and right, and your aimpoint will be in the center. neither of these are going to show you exactly where the paintball will go, you will always need to quickly readjust your shot.
