Check with your dealership - there was a recall issued regarding the windshield wipers. They could get water in wiper motor when it rained or when the car was washed and cause the wipers not to function properly. I had an 02 with the same problem. The problem stopped after recall was fixed.
i have a 2003 ford focus and want to locate which fuse is for the washer pump
Probably not. The washer pump is usually on or in the washer fluid reservoir.
check the fuses and relays
Front #56; Rear #43
FusesAccording to the respective Owners Manuals:1995-1998 Front Wipers/washer - fuse #18 - interior fusebox1995-1998 Rear Wipers/washer - fuse #24 - interior fuseboxNOTE: Fuse "D" in the Engine compartment fusebox also covers these fuses, along with a bunch of others1999-2003 Front Wipers/washer - fuse #6 - interior fusebox1999-2003 Rear Wipers/washer - fuse #7 - interior fusebox1999-2003 Front Wipers/washer - RELAY #202 - ENGINE COMPARTMENT fusebox1999-2003 Front Wipers/washer - RELAY #203 - ENGINE COMPARTMENT fuseboxIf the fuses check out okay, it's time to find your way to the bottom of the washer solvent reservoir and look a the pumps. It may be obvious if a pump has corroded or the wires are broken. The washer pumps are mounted into the bottom of the reservoir. One pump for front and one for rear.According to the service manual: Remove passenger side wheelRemove wheel well linerRemove cornering lamp - if equippedRemove mounting bolt/screw to drop the entire reservoirYou might want to run one of the washer pumps at this point to determine which pump feeds the front/rear.The pump is held in the reservoir by a big fat rubber seal - basically just pressed in.When installing one, wet it down first with water or window solvent/cleaner. Helps with sliding the pieces together.TIP: Read the instructions! Wish I had as it would have saved me some extra effort with the wiring.See "Related Questions" below for moreI believe it is located to the underside of the reservoir on the left front of the vehicle.I have a 98 Windstar. There are two windshield washer pumps (front and rear window washer fluid pumps) located on the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir. To access the pumps, you need to remove the front passenger side tire and the plastic wheel well. This will give you access to the reservoir bottom and the two washer fluid pumps.
in the fuse box
Yes they do
The fluid not spraying could be a clogged line or disconnected line or bad windshield washer motor. The rear wiper not working could be a bad wiper motor in the rear or unhooked linkage or fuse or relay. Check the fuses etc first.
no blown fuses. and I have changed most all of the relays
The fuse for the front windscreen wipers is located right under the steering wheel, where your feet go, you will prob have to lay on the floor of car to see them and read which one to replace. u will have to take the fuse box cover off and on the inside of the cover will have a diagram of what your fuses are for and where they are. windscreen wipers have a lil symbol of a windscreen and is number 6, the capacity fuse is 20A.
Wipers normally use a breaker, not a fuse.
Windshield wipers don't have fuses
