Alexander was not just an army ruler, like the others who conquered the countries to plunder and take away the wealth. He was a brilliant tactician, a very fair leader who mingled with his men and a brave and courageous general who led his armies from the front. He dealt with his conquests in the same manner. We see it in the case of the Indian king Porus who Alexander defeated. He asked Porus how would he like to be treated. And Porus replied LIKE A KING I WANT TO BE TREATED. And Alexander did just that. He also brought Greek knowledge to the countries he conquered.
