He published her diary to fulfil her dream, as she had wanted to be an author, and also to let everyone know about the holocaust.

He lent it to a friend, who wrote an article about it for a newspaper, saying that he thought it would be of wider interest. Obviously, when it first appeared in 1947 nobody had any idea that it would be widely translated and become so well known.

Anne Frank's father, Otto Frank, decided to publish her diary to fulfill her dream of becoming an author and to share her story and the experiences of Jews during the Holocaust with the world. He also believed that the diary would serve as a powerful reminder of the atrocities of the Holocaust and the importance of standing up against injustice and discrimination.

Well if your talking about Anne Franks well her dad found her diary and published it. and he thought it was a brilliant idea and the whole world should know about her.
Anne Frank's diary was published by her father because he read it and decided that it was going to be one of the only detailed writings about that time period coming from a 12-14 year old girl. And it was brilliant really, because her diary was like her friend and she told it everything. Reading it puts you into her shoes.

It was half the urging of all whom he gave it to read, and half Anne's own words in the diary: "I want to go on living, even after I die". Though he was initially opposed to publishing it, he eventually changed his mind.
