Ben Franklin was a key figure in the American Revolutionary War.
Franklin didn't stop the war. The surrender at Yorktown ended the war. Franklin was in France for most of the war and not in the colonies.
Franklin did a lot in his life. He helped Jefferson with the Declaration , was involved in getting money from France for the war, was at the constitutional convention, wrote books, invented things, and was involved creating a fire department , library, and college.
Benjamin Franklin was effected by the war because, He helped write the Declariton and the Constution. He wrote many pamphlets. He also was in the war for 8 years!
