David Crockett was not a good role model. Crockett cursed everyone when he didn't get his way, let false exaggerations about himself spread, and other things. Sure, he was a good hunter, a good politic, and a good soldier. An athlete can be the best at whatever he does, but we won't put him on a pedestal and call him an American folk hero. If you look into the information of David Crockett and his life, you'll see that he is an athlete among normal people, but ,as a role model, he's just about as good as any morally-struggling person.

Davy Crockett was not directly involved with the Oregon Trail, as his most notable activities occurred in the 1830s, particularly in Tennessee and Texas. The Oregon Trail was primarily used by settlers moving westward in the 1840s and 1850s. However, Crockett's legendary status as a frontiersman and his role in westward expansion contributed to the spirit that characterized the migration along the Oregon Trail.
Davy Crockett did not survive malaria; he is best known for his exploits as a frontiersman and politician, but he died at the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. There are no historical records indicating he contracted malaria or survived it. Instead, his legacy is tied to his role in American history rather than any illness he may have faced.
He commanded the Texian Volunteers originally, then shared command with William Travis, a colonel with the regular army. Davy Crockett was also a colonel there, but did not assume real command.
