Adolf Hitler grew up yearning to become an artist. His father Alois Hitler, an Austrian, had little time for his fourth born child and as a result Adolf received encouragement in the artistic field. The years went by and Adolf still had a passion for art, he decided to go to Germany and work as a Painter. His painting career, as a postcard painter soon failed and Hitler was forced to live on the streets, with no home and no job. Whilst living on the streets Hitler decided to become a runner in the army, for the 16th Bavarian regiment, this gave him; shelter, clothes and food. This is the main reason for Hitler's involvement in the army, however whilst in the army he developed a liking to it.
