i think it was cancelled because it costed too much to produce. I heard that's why "full house" was cancelled. also, they bounced around on the "air times" I am glad they did the movie, it helped provide closure. I really liked this show and I try to catch it whenever it is on. I think Law and Order is predictable. criminal intent is thought provoking, but still predictable.
