In the related links box below, I posted the information.
Jack the Ripper, sliced his victims open and removed some of the their internal organs, he literally 'ripped' his victims apart.
They were magical unicorns that had their arteries sliced open by cat femurs.
Probably not. Jack The Ripper is still unidentified and although it's been over 120 years since hes murders began the case is still officially open and unsolved.
The case is considered unsolved and still open. Although after 75 years, probably due to most immediate family would be dead, what remains of the evidence can be made available to the public.
Unfortunately, when Jack The Ripper gave himself the famous moniker he knew exactly what he was talking about. The ripper in JTR means precisely that. After cutting his victim's throats, he proceeded to rip open their abdomines and disembowl them. With only one exception, Elizabeth Stride, he was interrupted so her body was left intact, with just a cut throat. But within the hour, less than a mile away he caught Katherine Eddows unaware, she got the full Ripper treatment. Her face was almost unrecognizable when he was finished. Since the imfamous east end killer there have been other rippers. Peter Sutcliffe was the Yorkshire Ripper, Danny Rollin was the Gainsville Ripper, but Jack The Ripper did it first and was able to evade capture, which is part of the reason that people are still facinated by this killer.
As 'Jack' was never identified that fact cannot be answered He was identified as Nathan Kaminsky, he was apprehended, the killings topped as soon as he was incarcerated, and he soon died of an STD. Case officially closed in England (quietly due to religious concerns) in 1992. //As of February 2011 the Jack The Ripper case is considered unsolved and remains open, according to Scotland Yard.
This is very difficult to answer because you did not specify who 'they' were. I'll take a guess that you mean Scotland Yard. Actually, the Jack The Ripper case is still an open case and since 1888 many people have tried to discover who the killer was. Scotland Yard stayed with the case at least until the early 1890's. I'm sure it was a great disapointment to the Yard for their failure to catch the Ripper.
Nope still a open case.Actually, the case was officially closed in 1892.//The case of Jack The Ripper is unresolved and officially considered an open case. As with any open criminal investigation the files are not accessable to the public. British law dictates that the unsolved Ripper crimes, although still an open case, after 75 years the files are opened. This ensures that more than likely the killer is long dead, as would be any family members of the victims that could suffer from such information being scutinized by the public.
Dr. Thomas Neill Cream, convicted serial killer, uttered 'I'm Jack The....' as the trapdoor swung open and he dropped to his death at Newgate Prison, November 15, 1892.
For the Mac try MacTheRipper (See links below). OR You can also try Daniusoft's DVD Ripper which is good for both Windows & MAC.
In 1888 the Metropolitan Police had a force of 15,000. However this did not include the police that covered the City of London. The City, as it is refered to, is the one square mile in the center of London. Similar to Washington, DC and the Vatican in Rome. The Metro police patroled the rest of the city outside of that square mile.
To open John the Ripper, you typically need to provide a password hash file as input. This file contains the hashed passwords that you want to crack. You can specify the file using the command line like this: john <filename>, where <filename> is the name of your hash file. Ensure the file is formatted correctly for John the Ripper to process it effectively.
