Mengele was known as The Angel of Death, as it was he who ran the "medical experiments" on the unfortunates in the death camp at Buchenwald. Mengele was particularly interested in experimenting on twins, because he could experiment on one l perhaps adding a chemical to a brown eyed twin to see if he could change them to blue, while the other twin acted as a "control" so he could compare the two before and after the "experiment." His experiments were all supposed to be to find ways to more quickly create Hitler's dream of a super-German, tall, blond, and blue eyed like the Norse gods of Wagner's music, from which Hitler believed the German people were directly descended. So if Mengele could find a way to create not twins, but quintuplets, or 20 identical super-Germans at one time, Bingo. Needless to say, nothing, not a single sick experiment by the insane "Doctor" and his assistants every produced, even by accident, a single stick of useful research that could have been used by real medical science after the war. Mengele is rumored to have escaped to Argentina, where Juan Peron was a not-so-secret admirer of Hitler and his "methods" and gave pretty much free passage to any of the many Nazi criminals who fled there to escape a certain hangman's noose after the war. He is believed to have died there, as I recall. If you have a strong stomach, you might read "Medical Block Buchenwald." But I don't know why you would really want to. Phil There is actually a rumur that he went to a small town in Brazil. It is 1 out of 80 people have twins but there it suddenly went from that to 1 in 5. Weirdly a lot of them had blonde hair and blue eyes. So actually he probly did find something about twins out and put it into place at this small town. However, he was a horrible man and whatever he did to get to the conclusion was most likely unethical.
