The Blessed Mother was a Virgin her entire life. According to the constant teaching and belief of the Church she was a virgin before she became pregnant with Our Blessed Lord. She remained an intact virgin even during the process of Our Blessed Lord's birth, and finally, she remained a virgin until the day she entered heaven. She was a perpetual virgin while also perpetually a mother both to God and to every Christian. Her womb remains every virgin and ever fruitful.
