Why was Teresa famous?

she was famous for what she did. she became a nun and spent the whole of her lifetime helping people in need. and by doing that she came famously known and was and still is filled in so many peoples hearts.

Also, she became known to many people who had never heard of her when she won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.

Her fame can be in large part attributed to the 1969 documentary Something Beautiful for God, which was filmed by Malcolm Muggeridge and his 1971 book of the same title.
