Luke Chapter 1 verse 19and 20 19. In Luke Chaper 1 verse 11-18 Gabriel told Zachari his wife Eliisabeth would have a son and his name would be John but Zachari did not believe the words of the Lord spoken by the angel because he was old and so was his wife, so that is why he was mute until John was born.
