The Annapolis Convention of 1786 was convened to address the critical issues of trade and commerce among the states under the Articles of Confederation. The Annapolis Convention of 1786 aimed to address issues of interstate commerce and ultimately highlighted the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation.
