It was important because Germany lost 10% of its land, all of its colonies, 12% of its population, 48% of its iron, and 26% of its coal, they also had to pay $26,000,000,000. It also sowed the seeds of hatred to the west and this allowed Hitler to control Germany, because the Germans hated the allies. it was also why Hitler believed Germany had been betrayed by politicians and why he chose to kill himself instead of surrender.
