Europe is perhaps the most important place in the world. It has controlled practically the whole world at one point or another, and because of this, has spread ideas, cultures, resources, etc. They have invented many of the things used today (computers, televisions, etc.). The continent is also the starter of modern civilization; without Europe there would be no modern and technologically advanced civilization like today.
Europe was never a country, but simply a continent which has many countries on it. It was influential because of the many inventive people who lived there.
It is important so that trade is made so much easier in Europe. The EU and its members created the euro. I think that all of Europe should have the same money (Euros) because then Europe could trade with a wider range of countries easier.
