In addition to being the first President of the United States, George Washington was selected as a delegate to the First Continental Congress in March 1775. He was appointed Major General and Commander-in-Chief of the colonial forces against Great Britain after the battles of Lexington and Concord in 1775. George Washington did many things and accomplished a lot. It wouldn't be possible to provide everything that he did.
