Sparta was upset with Athens attempt to control other Greek city-states
For a long period they were allies. Then after Athens established an empire after the Persian Wars, it became intrusive of other city-states and the Peloponnesian League led by Sparta tried to limit this.
in the pelopponesian war
The Peloponnesian League was created by Sparta and its allies to dominate trade and government in the Greek city-states.
Athens and Sparta did not fight each other in isolation. They fought as allies and as adversaries in various conflicts over a couple of hundred years. So Athens did not defeat Sparta or Sparta defeat Athens. They were involved in wider conflicts in the battles.
Athens was more of the logic city. Sparta was the city that dominated places and gained income from the defeat of many other city's
Persia.
There was no war between Persia and Sparta, and no specific battle between Sparta and Persia. Sparta was at times part of a Greek force fighting Persia, and at other times was allied to Persia. But there was no specific Sparta-Persia war or battle.
It is impossible to defeat each other because Pokemon and Bakugan are different animes and it is difficult to decide whether which one is stronger.
the Sparta were warriors so they looked down upon the Athenians as being weak. The Athenians were educated and schooled so they looked down upon the Spartans as being uneducated
Sparta had a strong military reputation in Ancient Greece. Despite the city not being democratic like Athens many philosophers from Athens believed that the Spartans had a better system of government than their own. Sparta had a more stable system and an army that could out drill, out march and out fight any other army in Greece. All male citizens were equals and there was no real division between rich and poor. Sparta is located in a fertile valley protected by nature by the mountains that surround her. Also because the men were often away at war, the women of Sparta were more free than their counterparts in other city-states including Athens.
Athens isn't better than sparta. its the other way around!!
If I understand the question correctly, it was The Peloponnesian War from 431 to 404 BC that Athens and Sparta fought each other. Sparta was the victor.
