Well King Tut was the really only son of his father, the current King of Egypt in Tut's lifetime, so he was basically the prince. When his father died, and when he was 10, he stepped up and became king.
King Tut didn't have a pyramid. Pyramids were only built during the Old Kingdom and King Tut lived during the New Kingdom
King Tut was important because when Howard Carter an Egyptologist found his tomb in 1922 Tut's tomb was never robbed. And when they entered the room with Tut's coffin, he was in a couple of coffins the one on top was made out of solid gold.
