The tales said that Fourth Dynasty Egyptian pharaoh Khufu was the builder. It is also said that the Saqqara pyramid was the first one. Many historians don't believe that. The other pyramids are deteriorating faster and the ones in Giza are constructed better which tell many thinkers that is the first pyramid. There is a lot missing from the first dynasty to really know.
