More than 50 years ago sculpter Ziolkowski was asked by natives on the Pine Ridge reservation to build a Monument to crazy horse. It was designed to remind everyone that this country once belonged to the Native Peoples. It is a work in progress.
It is to honor Native Americans but it is for all Americans. America is a great country but it came at a huge cost to the Native Americans.
