The Gettysburg Address is considered to be one of the greatest speeches in American history, and even more widely, because of its curious combination of brevity with inspiring, noble truths captured in memorable phrasing. That so much can be said in so few words is a remarkable achievement. Yet, the words themselves convey truths concerning the importance of freedom and equality, and of the need to fight to preserve these, that are inspirational to nearly everyone who reads the speech today.
The Gettysburg Address and the Battle of Gettysburg are related. The Battle of Gettysburg was known as the turning point of the war because so many Confederate soldiers were killed and the Confederates could no longer attempt to fight on Union ground or take the offensive side in a battle. This was because they had so many casualties. The Union had many casualties, too. In the Gettysburg Address, Abraham Lincoln is recognizing all of the Union soldiers who gave their lives to protect our democracy at Gettysburg by saying they died honorably and not in vain. The Gettysburg address inspired Union soldiers and supporters every and reinforced the idea that our government"of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth."
The Gettysburg Address is persuasive because it effectively uses rhetorical devices such as repetition, parallelism, and emotional appeals to convey its message. It also appeals to the values of unity, equality, and sacrifice, framing the Civil War as a necessary battle for the preservation of these ideals. Additionally, the concise and powerful language of the speech leaves a lasting impact on the audience.

The mood of this speech is sad because it is the dedication of the Soldiers' at National Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, after the Union armies defeated those of the Confederacy at the Battle of Gettysburg. so in other words this speech is referring to the people that died in the battle.
Its poetic style and its incredible succinctness on such an emotionally important topic.
It is about the Civil War in North America. His speech was not only talking about the dead soldiers but also trying to stop slavery in North America.
