The show was having trouble with rating and on Jun 30 1989 NBC canceled the Show. The show changed the format some and moved to CBS from July 17 1989 to January 11 1991. NBC again tried to revive the show and brought it back on January 14 1991 until they finally canceled the half hour daytime show on September 20 1991. Pat Sajak had already left the show in 1989 and only did the nighttime version of Wheel of Fortune. The show was hosted by Bob Goen with Vanna White as hostess. In any case the show was not as popular as the nighttime Wheel of Fortune which is the number 1 syndicated show for the past 25 years. Many factors lead to a shows cancellation and although they tried to keep it going it just was not the hit the night time show was.
