For thousands of years there was no lights at night. Today we have never lived that way, but imagine if you want to go someplace and there are no lights. People had accidents because they went into a ditch or off a bridge. Sports and activity couldn't be done because of no lights. Houses had to use candles, fireplaces,,or gas lamps for light and furniture had to be placed so people didn't bunp into it if they got up. That is why the light bulb is important.
