"Mezquita" is simply the Spanish word for "Mosque", it does not refer to a specific place. However, many people will colloquially call the Cathedral of Cordoba as "La Mezquita" since the Cathedral is built into the former Great Mosque of Cordoba. It is the largest Islamic or formerly Islamic religious building in Spain.
