It was so well planned because the king of Spain had worked hard to get a very in depth plan that would be completely brilliant.
He had other people like friends, family, who were helping the Spanish king to figure out the perfect plan.
He wouldn't have been a good weatherman! The day they came a storm was inbound to where they were invading and messed up there entire plan.
This is very lucky for Elizabeth I, and also the people of Britain.
Britain may not have been how we know it if there was no storm.
well the Spanish armada was for spain and the French to attack england
when king Philip sent the Spanish armada to England there ships were destroyed and they were defeated this was because Philip's plan was not well thought out because he thought it would be best to stay in a tight formation, and when they tried to attack the English there ships crashed together.
well yeah there was fishing on the Spanish Armada ship but the problem was that they were always getting distracted all the time
England may well have been a Spanish speaking Catholic country
the spanish would make a crescent shape formation. Battle ships on the outside and cargo ships on the inside and duke of Medina sennidonia. the spanish used the traditional board the other ships with grappling hooks then fight hand 2 hand combat. this fared well as they had at least 350-400 soldiers on each boat
The English believed the Spanish Armada was defeated because the English had better supplies and sailors and so on. The Spanish believed it was defeated because of the weather - it was very windy and there was a massive storm at the time as well (that couldn't have helped them). In my opinion I believe it was a bit of both.
Well, Duke Media Sidona was the Spanish General on the boat but he had never been on a boat, and was therefore seasick a lot of the time
Yes she did. Her English army technically won the Spanish Armada but they didn't really do much to them as it was the wind that defeated the Armada. The Armada had seen the English fire ships and had panicked and tried to flee but the wind had battered their ships and drowned most of the Spanish and any survivors that washed up in Scotland was killed.
The defeat of the Armada marked the beginning of the end of Spanish power. Throughout the 1600's Spain's strength and prosperity decreased. One reason for this decline Philip's successor ruled for less ably than he had. The English defeating the Spanish Armada was one contributing factor to the decline of Spanish power and prosperity. Costly wars and economic issues contributed mightily as well.
At the time of the Spanish Armada in 1588, Queen Elizabeth I was on the British throne. Her reign, known as the Elizabethan Era, was marked by significant cultural and political achievements, as well as conflicts with Spain. Elizabeth's refusal to marry and her support for Protestantism were key factors in the tensions leading up to the Armada's launch. Her leadership during this crisis solidified her position and legacy in English history.
The Spanish Armada was defeated by the British for a number of reasons. Principal was that the smaller British ships were able to get in close under the Spanish guns to do the damage. The Spanish Armada was defeated by the British for a number of reasons. Also Spain did not communicate with Parma's army well, which resulted in them not been bale to assist them, without Parma spains heavy ships were not match fro England. Spain chose a commander who had never been in a naval battle and who was not a salior. He made many mistaakes
well its hard to determine the key mistake the spanish did because it was a series of mistakes and unfortunate events that led to the destruction of the armada. But one key mistake that the spanish did was they cut the ropes of the anchors. due to the terrible strom in the English channel the admiral said to drop anchor to stay in formation but the English sent out fire ships. in panic the spanish tryed to pull the anchors up but it was to slow so they cut the ropes, as a result they broke formation and the fire ships and storm basically destroyed the entire fleet. another factor that the spanish made was the ships themselves. they were huge galleons which have terrible stearing and control, because of this they had very hard time controling the ship in calm codition not to mention a storm. they thought the bigger the ships the better, unfortunatly that's not the case u need to find a blanace and the british eventually mastered that.
