It was called 'Concord' to indicate a feeling of peace. (which does not happen very often between France and England, or indeed between France and any country)
The name concord refers to the spirit of international cooperation with which the plane was built by two countries.
The Concorde was a supersonic passenger airliner. It operated with British Airways, Air France and for a short time Singapore Airlines.
France and England combined.Hope this was helpful to you! :)
As the program was split British-French, the name was as well. Concord was initially intended, but the "e" was added later. At first, many disagreed with the naming process, but it was not changed after development.

Concorde means agreement
It was the kings dogs name
Not a person... it's a joint design by Britain and France: combining the manufacturing efforts of Aérospatiale and British Aircraft Corporation
Delete the "e" from the end of the word and you'll see why: the plane was built in an agreement between Britain and France. Another word for an agreement is a "concord."
The Concorde is how most people refer to the entire system, but it is shortened.
