There were many reasons for the unpopularity and weakness of the Wiemar Republic , they were as follows ;The Wiemar Republic was made to pay for the sins of the Old German EmpireIts supporters , the Catholics, The Socialists , etc or the November criminals, became easy targetsGermany lost the war and it underwent national humiliation and the Wiemar Republic war blamed for it .It was also weak because Germany lost many of its resources like iron & coal , it even lost a few territories to France, Denmark, etc and the Wiemar republic was held responsible for it.Germany underwent economic crisis and the Wiemar Republic was financially weak , politically in stable and this led to its weakness , unpopularity and lack of public support as Democracy was a new idea and it was difficult for the Germans to comprehend it.

With the abdication of Kaiser Wilhelm a new Government was formed in the town of Weimar (as Berlin was too unstable) known as the Weimar Republic.
